1. FCC Open Meeting. On May 3, the FCC will be considering two relay services orders during its open meeting. These are: (1) Declaratory Ruling and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding the interoperability of video relay services and (2) Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking addressing the misuse of of the Internet-based forms of TRS. 2. Third Public Meeting of the Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities The US Department of State and US Agency for International Development will convene the third public meeting of the Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities on Monday, May 1, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20004) in the Hemisphere A room. The Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities was established in June 2004 for the purpose of serving the Secretary of State and the Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in an advisory capacity with respect to the consideration of the interests of persons with disabilities in the formulation and implementation of U.S. foreign policy and foreign assistance. The Advisory Committee is made up of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, USAID Administrator Randall Tobias and Executive Director Stephanie Ortoleva (all ex-officio members); and eight members from outside the United States government: Senda Benaissa, Walter Bollinger, Joni Eareckson Tada, Vail Horton, John Kemp, Albert H. Linden, Jr., Kathleen Martinez, and John Register. Individuals wishing to attend must arrive ahead of time and attendees must also have valid, government-issued photo-identification in order to enter the building. Attendees requiring reasonable accommodation should indicate their requirements one week prior to the event to Sherri Hansen at HansenSM@state.gov.
