Re: Consumer Contact List - Revised rates for TRS and VRS

One of the FCC's final actions in 2004 was to revise the rates for TRS and VRS, in response to supplemental filings by VRS providers made last year. The new rates are as follows:

TRS/IP: $1.398 per minute. This is an increase of $0.049. Original 2004 rate: $1.349
Speech-to-Speech Service: $1.596 per-minute. This is an increase of $0.156. Original rate: $1.440.

Video Relay Service: $7.596 per minute. This is an increase of $0.303. Original rate: $7.293

The new rates do not change any of the substantive changes that the FCC has made in its VRS policies. So long as this is not a mandated service, the agency will not be treating it the same way that it treats TRS.
