CSR 6263

On December 22, 2003, the Public Notice entitled, "Request for Exemption From Commission's Closed Captioning Rules," DA 03-4052, was released. Pursuant to Section 79.1 of the Commission's rules, The John Ankerberg Show ("Ankerberg" ) sought an exemption from the closed captioning requirements. On February 3, 2004, Ankerberg filed a request to withdraw its petition indicating that it now has the funds necessary to provide captioning to the hearing impaired. Based on Ankerberg's request to withdraw, its petition is dismissed without prejudice.
