1. FCC Summit on VoIP - The FCC's Internet Policy Working Group will be holding the second of its conferences on ways for the FCC to address policy issues as communications move to the Internet. The upcoming session will focus specifically on disabilities issues, and will be held on May 7, 2004. A link to the notice about this event is listed below.

2. FCC Summit on Emergency Communications - The FCC will be hosting a Summit on "Emergency Communications and Homeland Security: Working with the Disability Community" on March 25, 2004. The conference will seek to identify communications barriers confronting people with disabilities during national emergencies or terrorist attacks and to develop strategies for eliminating these barriers.

3. Broadband Inquiry - The FCC has a new inquiry intended to assess the extent to which broadband technologies are being made available to people through the United States. In addition to examining whether broadband is being introduced in a timely fashion, the proceeding will seek feedback on how to define advanced telecommunications capabilities. The notice about this inquiry is attached.
