TTY use is declining

• Some people dropping landline service

• Some deaf children don't know about TTY

• Protecting TTY without moving forward will lead to increasing disconnect with 9-1-1

  • Yes, TTY still needs to be accommodated

  • But updated technologies do too so that TTY can be retired as possible
