Captioned Telephone Service (CTS) Survey Results

Between February 21, 2013 and March 8, 2013, the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Telecommunications Access at Gallaudet University conducted a brief survey to learn about the experiences of adults who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have hearing loss and their use of Captioned Telephone Service. Our goal was to use the responses provided to this survey to help inform the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) about the use of captioned telephones.

The response rate was phenomenal, with a total of 3,000 responses. We would like to thank everyone who participated.

Note: The Technology Access Program is currently running a survey on Telecommunications Access by Adults who are Hard of Hearing, Deaf or have Hearing Loss, which you can take here.
