Guide to cell phone applications

Hearing device manufacturers and others are offering cell phone applications to supplement hearing device use. In some cases, the applications offer additional instruction and troubleshooting, and may also have special features for tinnitus, aural rehabilitation, hearing screening, and remote control. This topic provides a basic introduction and overview of the different genres of phone applications from hearing device manufacturers and others, and how to search for them within a phone's app store, which is the first step in exploring whether they might be of use to you.
